Whoville Exhibition Tony Tasset - Snowman

This collection of artwork is part of an exhibition from noted contemporary collector, Beth Rudin DeWoody, curated by Laura Dvorkin in collaboration with Circa 1881Whoville, coincides with EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, and is available through October 23rd.

For over three decades, Tony Tasset's work has been presenting sophisticated yet humorous evaluation of Americana, domesticity, and the art world. His Snowman is both amusing and sad. Catching the viewer off guard in unexpected settings, the Snowman is made from glass, resin, brass, enamel paint, polystyrene, stainless steel and bronze and are surprisingly true to life.

Tasset lives and works in Chicago and received his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  His work Artists Monument was included  in the 2014 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
