Nathaniel Mary Quinn’s fragmented and sometimes monstrous portraits are all compiled from his memory of family, friends, and former residents of his childhood home, a Chicago South Side housing project. This exhibition includes several of Quinn's works besides Richard including Smear, Irene and Eugene, all of the same format.
Quinn is the recipient of the Lorraine Hansberry Artistic, Performance and Fine Arts Award and a two-time winner of the National Arts Club Prize. His work has been exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions in the United States. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
